Please note that Friends of the Toronto Public Library, South Chapter kindly requests attendees to bring their own bag, as well as their patience, in case of any lineups. All proceeds are donated in support of library programs.

The Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto. Head to Toronto’s Waterfront for a jam-packed aerobatic air show featuring the US Navy Blue Angels, the CF-18 Demo Team, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and much more!

The traveling showcase brings together the best in Asian food and music. International sensations UMI, Ben&Ben, thuy, Guapdad 4000, BGYO and Justin Park will all take the stage for the Toronto stop, along with JUNO-nominated headliner Dabin, and fellow Canadian DJs, DJ Jayemkayem, DJ Tilt and DJ Hedspin.

The Quack is Back!

 

The World’s Largest Rubber Duck, returns to the Toronto Waterfront Festival. Snap a selfie with Mama Duck, who will be nesting on-land at Queens Quay East.

 

Other festival programs include the Canadian Armed Forces who will be bringing two massive, armoured vehicles that weigh over 45,000 pounds each, the Royal Canadian Navy will feature the HMCS Oriole on the water plus on-land activations, pop-up entertainment from Redpath Sugar, local food trucks, the Billy Bishop Airport Picnic Lounge and much more.

The Toronto Dragon Festival returns to Nathan Phillips Square with foods, cultures and and all-new lion dance competition!

 

Festival goers can count on all their TDF favourites that have become a yearly tradition before the summer ends. From Asian street food to diverse cultural presentations, the ever-improvised Reflection Water Show will all land on Toronto’s iconic Reflecting Pool in Nathan Phillips Square in a much more spectacular fashion.

 

To top last year’s stunning high poles acrobatic lion dance, along with the incredible Kung Fu masters, Walk-On-Water runway fashion show, TDF will present a multicultural performance including Canada’s Inuit throat-singing, Caribbean drumming, Philippine folk dances, not to mention a hundred food and merchandise booths that the Festival will gather for your local Toronto experience.

Soil, the biologically active repository of nutrients that supports and grows many plants, is comprised of organic matter, inorganic matter, air, and water. Different combinations of these ‘ingredients’ make for different habitats, in which different plants thrive.

 

In this workshop you will learn the basics of soil composition, the types of soil found naturally in Toronto, how to amend soil to improve fertility and porosity, and what plants work best in the different types of soil!
